I did try reading this earlier in the year but I had what turned out to be a monster of a sinus infection and had to abandon it in favour of laying very still and staring at the ceiling, so I'm effectively going in blind. This novel is, from all accounts, dark as heck, so I will precede each chapter with a content warning. Reader discretion is emphatically advised!
